When we go for a walk along the beaches or surfing in the waves, we see worrying amounts of plastic waste. Julie is the founder of the STRANDET, and in addition to having the responsibility for the coordination and business development geeks Julie with figures and CO2 accounts. Julie is trained environmental geographer and has worked with sustainable business development, green growth and plastic pollution both in a local and global perspective.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jens graduated Cand.International negotiation. and has a background as campaign project manager at Danchurchaid. Jens is strong in communications and burns, and to disseminate knowledge about the plastic issue. He is also responsible for product development and ensures that the ocean plastic is recycled into valuable new products.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2018 STRANDET was founded on the basis of our shared desire to make an active and local efforts to focus on ocean plastic pollution. In easter 2019, we officially opened STRANDET, where the old gas station in N\u00f8rre Vorup\u00f8r was turned into ocean plastic workspace and coffee shop.<\/p>

The first thought was actually done a long time before, and are far from Thy. Namely, in 2014, in Rwanda, where Julie worked. Rwanda was the first country in the world, banning all forms of plastic packaging, which introduced both the national cleanup days and the sorting and recycling of soft and hard plastic. A scrupulously clean country in the middle of the piles of unhandled waste \u2013 it left a great impression and got the ideas for the STRANDET to germinate.<\/p>

Julie returned to Denmark inspired with a feeling that we had to do something about the amount of plastic lying on our beaches \u2013 an idea that Jens was all for. The idea of \u200b\u200bmaking a difference, even in small ways, has since been a central part of STRANDET and our approach to minimizing plastic waste in nature.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
