Every year, 8-10 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the world's oceans. Along the West Coast alone, 1000 tonnes of plastic and other waste wash ashore annually. Plastic in nature has major consequences for marine life – but together we can make a difference.
We will make the West Coast
a cleaner place
We dream of a clean nature – free of plastic and other waste.
That's why we focus on plastic pollution locally as well as globally, organise beach clean-ups and communicate knowledge about the sea and pollution. We want to bring more people on the journey towards an ocean without plastic.
Our Efforts
Collection
Together with volunteers, tourists, school classes and businesses, we collect plastic waste from our local beaches.
Recycling
Part of the collected plastic is cleaned, shredded and recycled into new unique products in our ocean plastic workshop.
Prevention
We tell the story of how plastic does not belong in nature, give presentations on marine plastics and the circular economy, and help companies go green.

Ocean plastic recycled into new products
In our workshop in Nørre Vorupør we recycle marine plastic for new products. Each product is unique and helps ensure that we can remove even more plastic from the coast.

Whether you are a school class, folk school, company or just a group of good friends, we offer a different and educational experience close to the sea – where you help make a difference.
Beach clean-up
Together we remove ocean plastic from the beach and talk about what we find, where it comes from and why it ends up in the sea.
