Aeriel is unique jewelry made of beads made of sea plastic and amber – assembled and handmade in Thy.
After a storm, our coastline in Thy is filled with marine plastic. It is estimated that 1000 tons wash up on the West Coast – every year. The amber washes up with the plastic, and like a time capsule it stands in contrast to the marine plastic. The amber carries information from a time before the Anthropocene era, while the plastic tells us about man’s enormous negative impact on nature.
